China's aviation regulator is to further ease rules to promote the establishment of low-cost carriers (LCC), following complaints that restrictive policies make it impossible to operate a true budget airline.
- Tiger Airways Confirms S$1.3 Billion IAE Engine Order[Aug. 30, 2007]
On August 30, low fare airline Tiger Airways announced an order for up to 50 V2500-powered Airbus A320-family aircraft engines backed by a V2500Select aftermarket agreement. The combined engine and aftermarket value to IAE is in excess of S$1.3 billion.
