Gokongwei-owned airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced on August 22 that it will grow its Manila-Puerto Princesa service from a daily service to a ten-times weekly service beginning September 26, 2007.

- Isle of Man Airport to Be First Scheduled Destination for Gloucestershire (M5) Airport[Aug. 14, 2007]
Gloucestershire Airport (dubbed Gloucester M5 because it is just five minutes' drive from the M5 motorway and the A40) is to get its first scheduled flights. Their first destination will be the Isle of Man with Manx2.com, the expanding Isle of Man-based regional operator with the double daily morning and evening service starting on September 3. The twelve flights per week schedule will be complemented by an onward service to Jersey at the weekends. The route will be flown by a Beechcraft 1900D, the popular 18-seat pressurised turboprop aircraft with a fully stand up cabin interior. Journey time to the Isle of Man will be less than one hour.

Mesa Air Group Inc. and China's Shenzhen Airlines Co. are due to receive a license to begin operating a new domestic regional carrier in northwestern China, China's aviation authority says.

On August 24, AirAsia, Asia's leading and largest low cost carrier announced that they would be partnering the Hong Leong-Kencana Racing Team in the 2007 edition of the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race 2007 (MMER). As part of AirAsia's global link with AT&T Williams F1 Racing Team; the objective of this association is to develop and support the local Malaysian Motorsports racing teams to further excel in the sport as well as continuously leverage AirAsia's brand image in the local motorsports arena. On August 24, Baku-based National Air Company Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), flag carrier of Azerbaijan, took delivery of its first ATR 42-500. The aircraft is the first to be delivered following the signature, last January, of a US$100 million-valued contract for the acquisition of 6 new ATR aircraft (2 ATR 42-500s and 4 ATR 72-500s).
- China Eastern to Launch Shanghai-Yan'an Service[Aug. 21, 2007]
China Eastern Airlines, a major national carrier based in Shanghai, said on August 20 that it will open a route between Shanghai and Yan'an, in Northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
