- Velocity Launches Status Level Recognition for Frequent Flyers[Aug. 22, 2007]
On August 22, Velocity, the award winning loyalty program of Virgin Blue, unveiled a number of key enhancements to the program that provides greater recognition and reward to Virgin Blue's frequent flyers. Velocity has introduced three Status Levels into the program - Red, Silver and Gold. These Status Levels will provide Members with different benefits and earn rates.

A Myanmar national private airline, Air Bagan, will launch its second international flight between Yangon and Singapore on Sept. 7 following its first to Bangkok, Thailand, in mid-May, sources with the airline said on Aug. 20.
- EASA Certification Expands ST Aerospace's Engineering Capabilities[Aug. 20, 2007]
Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd (ST Aerospace) is the first company in South East Asia to receive a Design Organisation Approval (DOA) by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Having met the airworthiness requirements of EASA Part 21, ST Aerospace can now approve and perform engineering design work on European Union (EU) registered aircraft. This approval expands ST Aerospace's ability in the area of aircraft modifications.
