- Qantas Announces Formal Termination of Agreements with Air New Zealand[Feb. 14, 2007]
On February 14, Qantas announced the formal termination of its Strategic Alliance Agreement and Tasman Networks Agreement with Air New Zealand. This follows the negative draft determination of the Tasman Networks Agreement by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission in November 2006.

Official figures released by Dublin Airport late January show that more than 2.7 million additional passengers travelled through the airport last year, representing a 15% increase over 2005. In all, over 21.1 million passengers used Dublin Airport in 2006.

China Southern Airlines has signed a five-year contract with Lufthansa Systems to upgrade its flight service system, the company said on Feb. 14.
- More Than 3,000 Aircraft Needed on Mainland China in Next 20 Years[Feb. 14, 2007]
Airbus forecasts that the Chinese Mainland will need more than 3,000 passenger aircraft and freighters from 2006 to 2025, including some 2,050 single aisle aircraft, nearly 600 small twin-aisle aircraft, over 200 intermediate twin-aisle aircraft and 180 very large aircraft. Some 2,650 passenger aircraft will be required on the Chinese Mainland with a total value of US$289 billion. The Chinese mainland passenger fleet will triple in the next 20 years, from 760 at the end of 2005, to 2,700 in 2025.

Petters Group Worldwide (PGW) has signed a contract for an Airbus A318 Elite, becoming the first US customer for the type. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, PGW plans to use its A318 Elite for flights to Asia and Europe - as well as within the USA.

Royal Air Maroc has adopted Boeing's Web-based maintenance solution, Maintenance Performance Toolbox. The innovative suite of aircraft maintenance software solutions is the industry's first set of productivity tools designed to unify an airline's maintenance and engineering operations from start to finish.
