- Singapore Airlines to Outsource Reservations Call Centre Services in Some Countries[Jan. 18, 2007]
Singapore Airlines will outsource some of its reservations call centre functions in four countries - Australia, New Zealand, United States and Canada, and is considering doing so in a fifth - the United Kingdom - with an aim to streamline operations, and increase the service to 24 x 7 coverage in those markets.

Starting from Sunday March 25, 2007, Singapore Airlines will increase its capacity on service between Shanghai and Singapore by offering three additional return flights on top of its present frequency of 28 return flights per week.
- HKIA to Open Precious Metals Depository[Jan. 17, 2007]
In a move designed to enhance Hong Kong's role as a financial and logistics centre and meet growing regional demand for gold, Airport Authority Hong Kong announced on January 17 that it will open a precious metals depository at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) by the end of 2007. Airport Authority Hong Kong will proceed to establish the new facility upon Legislative Council's approval of a proposed waiver of trade declaration charges for gold.
- ANA Participates in Trials to Simplify International Check-in & Immigration Procedures at Narita[Jan. 12, 2007]
ANA will participate in trials run by Japan's Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport to simplify check-in and immigration procedures for passengers departing Tokyo's Narita Airport on ANA flights. The ANA portion of the so-called Simplifying Passenger Travel (SPT) trials will run from January 31 this year to March 23 (inclusive) in the South Wing of Terminal 1.

For the first time since 2000, European aircraft manufacturer Airbus, which received orders for 790 planes in 2006, fell behind Boeing, which posted orders of 1,050 in the same period, announced Airbus Chief Executive Louis Gallois on January 17.
