- Cathay Pacific Raises Another HK10m for UNICEF[Nov. 07, 2006]
On 7 November, Cathay Pacific Airways and UNICEF announced that almost HK$10 million was collected through the "Change for Good" inflight fundraising programme in the 2005/2006 programme period. Most of the money raised will go to UNICEF to help in its projects to improve the lives of underprivileged children around the world. In addition, HK$700,000 of the Change for Good proceeds will be donated to the Cathay Pacific Wheelchair Bank to help local children with neuromuscular diseases.

On 9 November, Cathay Pacific Airways released traffic figures for October 2006 that show the airline enjoying healthy growth in passenger numbers, buoyed by the National Day holiday in Hong Kong and China. The amount of freight carried grew, but lagged behind capacity growth.

On November 2, Hong Kong Express Airways announced that it will commence services between its home in Hong Kong and its newest destination the capital of Mainland China's Sichuan province - Chengdu, in mid-November. The new destination will be the airline's seventh since initiating its inaugural service just 14 months ago.

From October 31 this year, ANA customers can travel using e-tickets on 57 routes joining 15 airport destinations in Japan, making domestic travel more convenient and simple. This also means that passengers connecting from ANA and partner airline international flights will have a greater choice of domestic destinations using just a single e-ticket.
