On July 5, Boeing and CIT Aerospace, a business unit of CIT Group Inc., a leading global provider of commercial and consumer finance solutions, announced an order for five additional Boeing 787 Dreamliners, worth approximately US$810 million at list prices.

Boeing has delivered a second Next-Generation 737-800 to leasing company Babcock & Brown for lease to transavia.com, the new Orly, France-based low-fare carrier owned jointly by Dutch airline Transavia and French airline Air France, bringing the number of 737-800s in their fleet to four.

ACE Aviation Holdings, parent of Air Canada, agreed to sell a 70% interest in its wholly owned maintenance, repair and overhaul subsidiary ACTS to an investment consortium that includes Sageview Capital and KKR Private Equity Investors in a transaction valuing ACTS at approximately C$975 million (US$912.2 million).
- Revenue Falling at Alaska Airlines[Jun. 25, 2007]
Alaska Air Group recently confirmed its concerns about the second quarter, revealing in a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission that May mainline passenger unit revenue fell 2.3% year-over-year on a 1.8% decline in yield. April passenger RASM had dropped 2.8% from the year-ago month. In addition, the company said advance bookings for June indicate a 1-1.5-point year-over-year drop in load factor.
