- Boeing Announces Contracts for 11 787 Dreamliners and 50 Next-Generation 737s with TUI Group[May 16, 2007]
On May 16, Boeing announced orders for 11 787-8 Dreamliners and 50 Next-Generation 737s with TUI Group, Europe's largest integrated-tourism company. The orders were previously recorded on Boeing's Orders and Deliveries Web site as unidentified. The value of the orders is approximately US$4.7 billion at list prices. Two of the airplanes have since been delivered and identified.

European Aeronautic, Defence & Space Co reported a third consecutive loss as its Airbus unit, the world's biggest plane maker, struggled to overcome delays and rising costs on the A380 superjumbo jet.
- Finnair Reaches Agreement to Sell MD-11s to Aeroflot[May 16, 2007]
Finnair said it will sell the last two MD-11s it owns to Aeroflot. The aircraft will be transferred in November 2008 and July 2009. Value of the sale is at least EUR30 million (US$40.6 million).
