- US-based Southwest Airlines Reports February Traffic[Mar. 06, 2007]
On March 6, US-based Southwest Airlines Co. announced that the Company flew 4.8 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in February 2007, a 3.3 percent increase from the 4.7 billion RPMs flown in February 2006. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 6.0 percent to 7.3 billion from the February 2006 level of 6.8 billion. The load factor for the month was 66.8 percent, compared to 68.5 percent for the same period last year.

On March 20, ANA filed an application with Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT) to lower its fuel surcharge on international tickets issued on or after May 1 this year, in line movements in the market price of fuel.

On the airline's 66th anniversary on March 15, Philippine Airlines (PAL) and the Boeing Company announced the order of two Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) commercial airplanes, with purchase rights for two additional 777-300ERs. PAL is a long-time Boeing customer and currently operates five Boeing 747-400s and three Boeing 737-300/-400s.
