Delta Air Lines Inc, which is operating under bankruptcy protection, has asked for court permission to sell certain Boeing aircraft and acquire others that are either smaller or in some cases long-range as it cuts domestic flights and increases international ones.
- Boeing Statement on Philippine Airlines Selecting Boeing 777-300ERs[Dec. 07, 2006]
The Boeing Company is very pleased that Philippine Airlines has selected the 777-300ER for addition to its fleet. Boeing is working with Philippine Airlines to complete final business arrangements that would result in an order for two Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) commercial airplanes and the right to purchase two additional 777-300ERs in the future. The airline currently operates five Boeing 747-400s and four Boeing 737-300/-400s.
- Boeing, PrivatAir of Switzerland Sign Deal for 787 Dreamliner[Dec. 05, 2006]
On December 5, Boeing and international business aviation group PrivatAir announced an order for one Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner airplane. PrivatAir, headquartered in Geneva, becomes the first company of its kind to purchase the 787. The order is valued at $153 million at today's list prices. The order is accounted for on Boeing's Orders and Deliveries website, identified as a 787 BBJ VIP customer.
- Continental Converts Orders for 12 More Boeing 737-900ERs[Dec. 05, 2006]
On December 5, Boeing and Continental Airlines announced that Continental has converted 12 of its existing orders for Next-Generation 737 jetliners to 737-900ERs. The announcement follows a Continental decision last August to become the first airline in the Americas and the first two-class carrier to order Boeing's newest and largest-capacity member of the 737 family, the -900ER. With this conversion, Continental now has orders for 24 737-900ER jetliners.

- Boeing, Nakash Group of America Sign Deal for Two 787 Dreamliners[Dec. 05, 2006]
On December 5, Boeing and Nakash Group of America announced an order for two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Nakash Group of America is a multi-national, multi-billion dollar conglomerate that owns Arkia Israeli Airlines. Arkia, based in Tel Aviv, will operate the 787s, making it the first airline in Israel to offer 787 services to its passengers.
- Sirte Oil Company Orders One Embraer 170 Jet[Dec. 05, 2006]
On December 5, Embraer announces that Sirte Oil Company has placed an order for one EMBRAER 170 jet. With this contract, Embraer gains its first customer in Libya, with delivery scheduled for March 2007. This firm order was already accounted for in Embraer's orderbook as "undisclosed", therefore the current order backlogis not affected by this announcement.
