- FAI Grows Its Jet Fleet to 27 with the Addition of Second Premier 1A[Mar. 04, 2020]
German Special Mission and VIP-Charter Operator FAI rent-a-jet AG, part of FAI Aviation Group, has acquired its second Premier 1A jet aircraft (MSN RB-196, D-IVAG) on behalf of a corporate client. It is anticipated that the Premier 1A will enter turnkey charter operations under management contract in June following a carbon fibre style full cabin refurbishment and new exterior designer paint. This latest addition will bring the company's fleet of jet aircraft to 27.

Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec State Corporation) has signed a roadmap at the Defexpo 2020 exhibition with the Russian-Indian company Indo-Russian Helicopters Limited (IRHL) for localization of Ka-226T helicopter production in India.
- Fully-Covered and Fungible Beidou System for Civil Aviation by 2035[Dec. 20, 2019]
Recently, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) officially released "Application and Implementation Roadmap of Beidou Navigation Satellite System for Civil Aviation in China". In the Roadmap, it is said that the authority will give great impetus to the application of Beidou system. By the end of 2035, a dual frequency multi-constellation GNSS technological application system with Beidou System as its core will come on the scene. Compatible and operable with GPS and other system, the GNSS system will realize the application of a fully-covered and fungible Beidou System in Civil Aviation step by step.
- EASA Certifies Safran Aneto-1K in Leonardo AW189K[Dec. 19, 2019]
Safran Helicopter Engines has received EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Type Certification for its Aneto-1K engine, as fitted to the Leonardo AW189K. Intended for super-medium and heavy helicopters, the Aneto family produces between 2,500 and 3,000 shp. The 1K is rated at 2,500 shp and its first flight in the AW189K took place in March 2017.
- Bell Announces Delivery of First Bell 505 to Horizon International Flight Academy[Dec. 12, 2019]
Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company, announced today the delivery of the first of 12 Bell 505 helicopters to Horizon International Flight Academy per an agreement signed in November at the Dubai Air Show. The 505 was configured for flight training, fully equipped with an integrated glass cockpit that enables pilots in training to experience modern controls on a single engine aircraft.
- Shenzhen to Build an International Air Hub in GBA[Nov. 27, 2019]
Shenzhen recently revealed a transportation action plan in forging Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport into a key international air hub in Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). By 2035, the ratio of international and regional passenger throughput in Shenzhen Airport will have risen from less than 10% to 25%, as a long-term target of "The Action Plan for Shenzhen to Build an Example in Strengthening China's Transportation System (2019 to 2035, draft for public consultation, action plan for short)".
- Airbus Delivers Greece's First H145 to Airlift[Nov. 22, 2019]
Airlift has taken the delivery of its first H145 helicopter, becoming the first operator of this model in Greece. The twin-engine helicopter will be mainly dedicated to VIP transfers, but thanks to the high versatility of its cabin configuration, the aircraft will also be used for emergency medical transport and fire-fighting.

Germany's Air Ambulance Specialist and Special Mission Operator FAI rent-a-jet AG was honoured with an Aviation Annual Achievement Award in the Anniversary Milestone category during a special Gala Evening held last week coinciding with the Dubai Air Show. The prestigous event which attracted over 500 aviation industry leaders and over 100 organisations was held on a 220ft mega yacht berthed at the world famous Pier 7, Dubai Marina. FAI Founder and Chairman, Siegfried Axtmann, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the company.
