Scanorama, the SAS on-board magazine, is now also available in Chinese. Table-tennis star, J-O Waldner, Scandinavian design and delicious Norwegian seafood are what SAS Chinese customers can read about while sitting on board SAS flights on the Copenhagen-Beijing and Copenhagen-Shanghai routes. The magazine uses the written Chinese language that is read by nearly one billion mainland Chinese. A 16-page guide on the Oresund Region, entirely in Chinese, is also enclosed in the magazine. Orrefors, Dux, the Advokatbyran Hellstrom legal firm and Oriflame are among the advertisers who took this opportunity to reach a Chinese target group that has increasing spending power.
The Chinese edition of Scanorama is a feature of SAS's activities aimed at adapting its product offering to Chinese customers. In addition to Chinese Scanorama, a Chinese website has also been established, Chinese cabin attendants personnel have been employed and Chinese-speaking service personnel can now be found at Kastrup, while Chinese instant noodles are being served on board.
Scanorama already has a Japanese edition, which is available on board all SAS aircraft between Copenhagen and Tokyo.
