More Comfort & Style Onboard Cathay Pacific
By Simon Li, CARNOC | Sep. 23, 2006
In order to offer superior inflight products, Cathay Pacific has announced a move to gradually phase in luxurious new seat designs, fresh cabin interiors and enhanced inflight entertainment options that will revolutionise long-haul travel starting from January 2007.
For instance, the new First Class luxury seats convert easily to become a 36" x 81" bed, believed to be the largest provided on any commercial airline. Additionally, the new Business Class and Economy Class will also have newly-designed seats and environment that make air travel as pleasant as possible.
To make this happen, Cathay Pacific has closely collaborated with leading transportation design consultants to create an inflight environment that is natural, soothing and exceptionally well-appointed. Inspired by the textures of timber, bamboo, stone and water, the new opulent surroundings are supported by the latest materials and some of the world's most cutting-edge technologies.
According to Cathay Pacific, the aim of this move is to create a level of quality and attention to detail that will exceed the expectations of Cathay Pacific passengers, no matter which travel class they are flying.
