Hong Kong Airlines Limited Held Launch Ceremony
Hong Kong Airlines Limited | Nov. 28, 2006
On November 28, Hong Kong Airlines proudly celebrates its launch ceremony: "Bauhinia is Our Heart, Soaring beyond Hong Kong Skies" at the Four Seasons Hotel. We are honored to have celebrities and honorable guests coming from government, aviation industry, tourist industry, and business sectors from the Mainland, Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong witnessing this important moment in Hong Kong's aviation history.
To mark the new milestones of Hong Kong Airlines, we have decorated the event venue with an airplane fuselage and cabin, where all our guests can sign their names on the aircraft as they enter.
The launch event will kick off with our latest theme video which will be followed by speeches from our officiating guests. There will be a presentation ceremony where Hong Kong Airlines will donate 338 charity air tickets to the Tung Wah Group to demonstrate our commitment to serve the local community. Moreover, we have arranged our cabin crew members to conduct a catwalk in our brand new uniforms to demonstrate the new image and vision.
We then invite our officiating guests on stage to push an imitation aeroplane throttle. With the thundering sound of the engine, Hong Kong Airlines' new logo will come onto centre stage. The new logo represents a bauhinia flower, the symbol of Hong Kong where our business is anchored. It also signifies the close relationship between the company and Hong Kong and its new era in civil aviation industry.
Hong Kong Airlines will be developing new aviation markets and networks, focusing mainly on routes between Hong Kong and the Mainland, Taiwan as well as other major Asian cities. Moreover, we will be seeking cooperation with local and international partners, enhancing Hong Kong's position as an international hub and logistic centre. We also operate direct flights to secondary and tertiary cities in the region which will help develop tourist and economic opportunities between these new destinations and Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Airlines determines to build a strong team of professional staff based on local recruitment. In the coming future, we will be emphasizing on local training for cabin crew, pilots, and maintenance staff, etc. Our main goal is to expand our local team, creating greater employment opportunities for the people of Hong Kong.
