Dragonair On-board with The Marco Polo Club
Cathay Pacific Airways Limited | Dec. 01, 2006
Since Dragonair became a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific on September 28, 2006, the two carriers have moved quickly, already announcing plans to improve connection times at Hong Kong International Airport and relaunch Dragonair's service to Phuket, Thailand.
Now the latest customer benefit to come from the alignment of the two airlines is the integration of their loyalty programmes.
From January 1, 2007, Marco Polo Club members will enjoy exclusive Club privileges and convenience when they fly on Dragonair, just like they do on Cathay Pacific (depending on their membership tier and class of travel). These include:
- Earning Club miles and sectors on eligible fare classes;
- Earning Asia Miles on eligible fare classes;
- Member privileges such as 24 hours worldwide toll-free Club service line, priority check-in and boarding;
- Tier benefits like lounge access, extra baggage & handcarry allowances, priority baggage handling, advance seat reservation and priority waitlisting); and
- Guaranteed seat confirmation.
Dragonair's extensive coverage of China, together with Cathay Pacific's network and membership of the oneworld alliance, makes The Marco Polo Club Asia's most powerful airline loyalty club and the clear choice for serious world travellers.
We are confident these latest developments will result in greater comfort, choice and convenience for our members whenever they fly.
