Rolls-Royce Wins US$450m Order with China Southern

On December 13, Rolls-Royce PLC, the world's second-largest aircraft engine maker, said it won a US$450 million (euro339.7 million) order to provide engines for a fleet of 50 Airbus A320 aircraft ordered by China Southern Airlines.
The contract also includes a provision for maintenance, the company said in a statement.
Rolls-Royce has delivered the V2500 engine to more than 120 customers worldwide since 1996 and the technology powers more than 1,300 aircraft.
