Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition 2007 Opens in Hong Kong
National Business Aviation Association, Inc. (US) | Feb. 06, 2007
On February 6, the second Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2007) opens at Hong Kong Asia World Expo. The two-day event brings together leading representatives of business aviation institutions, industry specialists and relevant government officials from Asia and beyond to exchange information and explore the opportunities for business aviation in the region.
Hosted by the US-based National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), over 50 exhibitors will display the latest aircraft, aviation equipment, and business aviation services. High-level officials from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC), Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD), Business Aviation Association for India (BAAI), Thai DCA Flight Standards Bureau, as well as some well-known business aviation operators, will be attending the exhibition.
NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen said, "The exciting prospects for business aviation in Asia are why NBAA and AsBAA host ABACE, the only Asian event focused solely on the business aviation community. We want to help catalyze the Asian market, educate regulatory authorities in the region and expose Asian business leaders to the benefits of business aviation, which is such a success story in other parts of the world."
AsBAA President Jason Liao added, "The potential for business aviation in Asia is enormous. The region's population, economic activity, and need for transportation to cover distances between business locations - in some cases, where no practical transportation alternative exists - is immense. At this year's ABACE, we will send a message loud and clear: Asia is now open for business aviation."
ABACE2007 aims to promote the development of the Asian business aviation market and serves as an extensive exchange platform to share information among business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, business aviation flight department personnel and others involved in nearly all aspects of business aviation.
In addition to the Static Display of Aircraft and equipment, veteran business aviation experts will provide a series of informational sessions, covering such topics as the productivity, mobility, safety and security of business aviation and major industry trends. They will also explain ongoing international efforts to support business aviation, and other issues.
