Ameco Beijing Signs Engine Maintenance Deal with UK's Flyjet

Ameco Beijing, an aircraft maintenance joint venture between Air China and Deutsche Lufthansa AG, said it has signed a general terms agreement with Flyjet Ltd to provide overhaul services for the UK carrier's RB211 engines.
The first engine will be delivered to Ameco Beijing at the end of March, the Beijing-based venture said in a statement.
No financial details were provided.
Flyjet is Ameco Beijing's fifth UK customer, following deals with Astraeus Ltd, TES Aviation Group, Jet2.com and Rolls Royce.
Flyjet operates Boeing 757-200ER aircraft powered by Rolls Royce RB211 engines, as well as Boeing 767-200ERs with General Electric CF6 80A2 engines, the statement added.
Ameco Beijing is 60 pct-owned by Air China and 40 pct-owned by Lufthansa.
