JetBlue Airways said on June 20 it expects its passenger revenue to increase by 5 percent to 7 percent in the second quarter and by 7 percent to 9 percent for all of 2007.
The forecasts are down from JetBlue's April guidance, which predicted second quarter revenue to rise 6 percent to 8 percent and 2007 revenue to increase by 7 percent to 9 percent.
In a government filing, the low-cost airline said it expects its costs per available seat mile to increase 4 percent to 6 percent in the second quarter and 7 percent to 9 percent for the full year.
In April, JetBlue said it expected its second-quarter costs to increase 6 percent to 8 percent and its 2007 costs to increase 7 percent to 9 percent.
The company's revenue and cost estimates include the removal of one row of seats from each of its Airbus A320 aircraft, which was completed in early February.
JetBlue predicted its operating margin to be in a range of 9 percent to 11 percent in the second quarter and in a range of 5 percent to 7 percent for 2007.
