Travel to 120 Destinations Worldwide with Postbus and Lufthansa
China Aviation Daily | Dec. 14, 2015
Even from places further away from major airports, Lufthansa can now directly access flights worldwide. As of December 15, Postbus will transport passengers to Munich Airport from seven Bavarian and three Austrian cities on 40 daily journeys and up to six times a day. Non-stop connections will be available from the German cities of Ulm, Augsburg, Passau, Regensburg, Nuremberg and Bamberg. The journeys from/to Salzburg, Rosenheim/Raubling, Innsbruck and Wörgl will start on February 12, 2016. "The cooperation will provide Lufthansa guests with many benefits and guarantee them a comfortable and convenient trip right from the start," explains Thomas Winkelmann, CEO of the Munich Hub.
The benefits at a glance: booking via the Lufthansa reservation system, arrival and departure times directly linked to the Lufthansa network of routes from Munich, and the opportunity to collect miles. In the case of unscheduled delays, guests who have booked their journeys via Lufthansa will be automatically transferred to the next flight.
How it works: Passengers book their flights directly from the point of departure of their bus journey (for example Ulm > New York). They can then access their Lufthansa boarding pass online as early as 23 hours before they leave their home. This boarding pass is also used as a ticket for the bus journey. Once they have arrived at the airport, passengers can drop off their baggage in Terminal 2. Tickets can now be booked online at www.LH.com.
