Hainan Airlines, Tianjin Airlines Seek London Traffic Rights

Hainan Airlines and Tianjin Airlines have filed applications with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), seeking traffic rights to London and Japan.
Hainan Airlines plans to launch a thrice-weekly service between Changsha and London in April 2017, the CAAC said.
Meanwhile, Tianjin Airlines intends to start a thrice-weekly Tianjin-Xi'an-London route in May 2017.
Both London services will be operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
In addition, Hainan Airlines also applied for thrice-weekly Xi'an-Sapporo and twice-weekly Changsha-Sapporo services in December 2016, the CAAC added.
What's more, another Chinese carrier Capital Airlines seeks rights to launch a thrice-weekly Qingdao-London service in July 2017.
The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the applications until 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2016.
