CAAC Reveals the Most Punctual Chinese Airline for September 2016

The on-time performance of Chinese passenger airlines averaged 78.53% in September 2016, up 4.66 percentage points year on year, according to the data released by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
26 of all 38 airlines' on-time performance was higher than the average rate, including Qingdao Airlines, Shandong Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Tianjin Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Air ChangAn, Jiangxi Airlines, Okay Airways and etc. Airlines are divided into two categories according to the number of their daily flights operated in 2015 - major airlines operating more than and including 200 flights daily and other airlines operating fewer than 200 flights daily.
Shandong Airlines took the top spot out of 10 of the nation's major airlines, with 81.66% of its flights arriving as scheduled in September 2016, followed by China Southern Airlines (80.73%) and Tianjin Airlines (80.12%), respectively. Xiamen Airlines was ranked at the bottom of the category with 73.52% of its flights operated on time.

Start-up carrier Jiangxi Airlines delivered 92.86% of its flights on time in September, the best performance among the 28 airlines (including two start-up airlines in H1) operating less than 200 flights daily. Tibet Airlines was ranked at the bottom of the list with only 57.35% of its flights operated on time.
