A group of intoxicated passengers, including a woman with two children, were removed from a British Airways flight after staff refused to serve them more alcohol.
Furious passengers on flight BA 2731 travelling from Tenerife to London Gatwick were held up for two hours while cabin crew removed the group from the plane.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman in her 20s called Charlotte had been drinking at a bar in Tenerife Sur Airport before becoming embroiled in an argument about being a "benefits mum".
She then began demanding more alcohol on board the plane.
Passengers cheered when the pilot eventually ordered her and five other people in her party to leave the Airbus A320.
However one passenger took to Twitter to voice his frustration.
James Griffiths wrote: "Delayed due to drunk being removed from flight. Bigger question though, why crew let her on?"
According to The Sun, the woman said: "I've paid for my flight and I know I am entitled to it"
One passenger from Reading told the paper: "It was appalling behaviour."
A spokesman for British Airways said: "Our customers and crew deserve to enjoy their flights, without any form of disruption."
"This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated, and the appropriate action will always be taken."
"We are sorry to our customers for the short delay on this flight. "
