On Feb. 12, a helicopter crashed in Papua New Guinea (PNG), causing the two pilots seriously injured, New Zealand media reported.
The two pilots, a New Zealander and a PNG national, were in a serious but stable condition. They were treated at a hospital in the PNG capital of Port Moresby.
Rescuers said it appeared the helicopter had clipped trees before crashing into a creek when trying to land.
The helicopter was taking provisions to a new gold exploration site for the Minex mining company.
