Tianjin Airlines is seeking authority to operate four new routes to Cebu and Melbourne in March and September 2017.
The Tianjin-based carrier has submitted the application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for permission to start thrice-weekly services to Cebu from Tianjin, Xi'an and Chongqing in March, according to a notice released Tuesday on the CAAC's website.
All three routes will be operated using Airbus A320s.
Meanwhile, Tianjin Airlines also plans to launch a thrice-weekly service between Chongqing and Melbourne, using A330 aircraft.
The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the application until January 23, 2017.
