China Eastern Plans Xi'an-Okinawa, Wuhan-Cebu Flights

China Eastern Airlines is seeking rights from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to launch two new routes to Okinawa, Japan and Cebu, Philippines in March.
The Shanghai-based carrier plans to operate a twice-weekly Xi'an-Okinawa service, using Airbus A330s.
It also applied for a thrice-weekly service between Wuhan and Cebu, using Boeing 737-800s.
The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the application until February 6, 2017.
