Beijing Capital Airport Serves over 10 Million People During 40-Day Chunyun Period

As many as 10.84 million passengers travelled through Beijing Capital International Airport during the 40-day Spring Festival travel season or "Chunyun Period" from Jan. 13 to Feb. 21 2017. Average daily passenger numbers will stand at 260,000.
The airport handled up to 67,000 aircraft movements, including 335,000 inbound flights and 335,000 outbound flights.
Statistics show that more than 304,000 travelers passed through the airport on January 20, the highest record during the travel season.
According to statistics of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), as many as 59.04 million passengers traveled by air during the 40-day travel rush, up 14 percent from a year earlier. More than 552,000 flights were operated during the travel peak, up 11.2% year on year.
