CAM Attends ABACE 2017 to Look for Development Opportunities of Business Aviation

Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition 2017 (ABACE 2017) was successfully held at Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre from 11 to 13 April 2017. The delegation of Macau International Airport Co., Ltd. (CAM) including Mr. Ye Hong - Chief Representative of Shanghai Representative Office (SRO), Ms. Emma Tang - Deputy Director of Logistics and General Aviation Development Department (LGD) and Mr. Jerry Pang - Manager of SRO attended this event.
"CAAC Business Aviation Development Forum" was one of the focus in the event. During which some issues like "continuing development of China's emerging business aviation industry" were discussed by the leaders of aviation industry from different regions and countries, including Captain Huaiyu Jiang, the Head of CAAC East China Regional Administration and Mr. Javier Vicedo, Representative of European Aviation Safety Agency, China and North Asia, etc.
The prime purpose of attending this event is to exchange views and look for the cooperation opportunities with mainland's aviation industries in order to explore high-end aviation market mutually. China will be one of the most rapid-developing market of business aviation while business aviation is also an important part of the future development of Macau International Airport (MIA). Both can complement each other and reach win-win situation by having cooperation.
The movement of business aviation in MIA records 747 in the first quarter, representing year-on-year increases of 23.27%. The growth was attributed to the holiday factor in January. Ms. Emma Tang expressed that she is optimistic about the prospect of business aviation development. MIA will continue to optimize the facilities of business aviation, and join hand with local and mainland's business aviation companies to promote business aviation market together. Also, comply with the long-term goal of Macao S.A.R. to foster the "Belt and Road"Initiative and the "Centre and Platform" Policy, MIA will strive to build up network with Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta area and develop Macao as a business aviation hub of Asia Pacific.
