Hong Kong's only low-cost carrier (LCC) HK Express ishonoured to have the airline's General Manager for Network Planning and Scheduling, StephenMilstrey, appointed to the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Joint Slot Advisory Group (JSAG). This appointment follows his re-election as an IATA Slot Policy Working Group(SPWG) committee member for a further two-year term.

HK Express is the first LCC with a representative appointed to the JSAG. Stephen commencedhis role within both IATA's JSAG and SPWG effective from 5 September 2017.

Both appointments, made by IATA Director General and CEO Alexandre de Juniac, signal theaviation industry's recognition of HK Express and Stephen.

JSAG is a joint forum convening a maximum of seven airlines' representatives and seven slotcoordinators who are committed to coordinating slot allocations worldwide. The JSAG aims toimprove the Worldwide Slot Guidelines (WSG), develops international coordinator communitypractices for endorsement, reviews regulatory developments related to worldwide schedulecoordination and slot allocation, and provides guidance to IATA management on the developmentof services and systems to support the slot allocation and schedule coordination process.

In addition to his JSAG role, Stephen will provide technical guidance to IATA management andindustry groups and maintain an open dialogue with regulatory parties as an SPWG member.
