China Southern Will Operate 49 Scheduled Cargo Flights Every Week in IATA 2017 Winter Season

Starting from 29th October, 2017,China Southern Cargo will implement flight plan in IATA 2017 winter season. In the new season, the scale of China Southern cargo aircraft fleet will remain unchanged which includes 12 Boeing 777F and 2 Boeing 747Ffreighters. According to the plan, China Southern will operate a total of weekly 49 scheduled international flights, an increase of 2 flights from last IATA season.
With the recovery of global economy and the remarkable increase of world trade volume that followed, the international air freight market has witnessed a gradual rebound. North American area continues to be a prosperous market, and China Southern dual cargo hubs in Guangzhou and Shanghai have total 21 flights to American area per week, including daily flights on route Shanghai-Los Angeles, 8 flights per week for Shanghai-Chicago and6 flights from Guangzhou to Los Angeles, except for Tuesday.
In European market, China South flights from Shanghai and Guangzhou to Amsterdam will add one flight respectively, becoming daily. Meanwhile, adhoc flights on Guangzhou-(London)-Frankfurt last season will be turned into scheduled. Thus Guangzhou-Frankfurt and Guangzhou-London-Frankfurt will be increased to 3 flights per week respectively. China Southern Cargo's strategy is to set Amsterdam and Frankfurt as main gateways in Europe, flying totally 26 scheduled flights from Guangzhou and Shanghai per week.
In addition, the route of Guangzhou-Vietnam, which is carried out by Boeing 747F, remains to be 2 flights per week.
In the future, China Southern Cargo will continue to maximize the use of existing capacity and constantly optimize freighter network to improve freighter utilization. We will further explore regional and domestic market, while consolidating traditional market of Europe and America. We will continuously improve operation stability and on time performance.
