VariFlight Supports the First-Ever Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation

The first-ever Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation (APACMC), co-hosted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), was successfully held in Beijing, China from January 31st to February 1st, 2018. Themed on Uniting to Shape the Future of Civil Aviation through Commitment and Collaboration, the conference aims at promoting the understanding, interaction and cooperation on civil aviation in Asia-Pacific region. Participants of the conference, which totaled more than 300, include ministers and directors responsible for civil aviation from 32 ICAO Member States in Asia-Pacific Region, senior aviation officials from UK, France, USA, Russia and a number of international organizations and industry-specific associations.
During the Conference, 32 ICAO member states in the APAC region discussed and adopted the Beijing Declaration. The Beijing Declaration reflects the common concerns, common positions and common vision of all APAC member states in terms of aviation safety, air navigation services, accident investigation and human resources. It is not only a consensus on promoting the development of the aviation industry in the Asia Pacific region, but will also be a multilateral policy guideline for promoting the development of Asia Pacific civil aviation in the future. In addition, it will be of great significance in strengthening the cooperation among the countries in the field of civil aviation, further enhancing the level of aviation safety in the Asia Pacific region, promoting the healthy, sustained and high-quality development of civil aviation in the region, and letting aviation play its important role in building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

We must work together to push boundaries, challenge the conventional wisdom, keep moving forward, and boldly go where nobody has gone before," Mr. Zheng said.
A short video, entitled The Meaning of Flying, was released and screened during the two-day conference, in which not only remarkable historical changes in aviation industry are reviewed but the exciting and encouraging future has also been highlighted.
