Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) is pleased to announce that AirAsia (AK) has recently appointed AAT as their cargo ground handling agent at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
AirAsia is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It operates scheduled domestic and international flights to over 48 destinations using A320. AirAsia is scheduled to operate daily flights between Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong from May 2008.

Operating on a franchise awarded by the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), AAT combines a well-designed terminal with state-of-the-art material handling systems and innovative use of IT (for cargo management and truck control) to provide a comprehensive range of services from physical cargo handling to documentation processing for airlines operating at HKIA. It started its business in July 1998 with only 12 customer airlines and since then it has grown its business to providing services to more than 30 customer airlines today.
