A delegation from Air China will visit Fiji in September to investigate starting direct flights to the Pacific nation.
Fiji's Ambassador to China, Sir James Ah Koy, met Air China's vice president Zhang Lan earlier this month, to discuss the possibility of non-stop flights, to encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Fiji.
Zhang Lan says Fiji should also consider engaging Chinese travel agents to sell the nation as a tourist destination, and says Suva should also begin seriously advertising Fiji to the Chinese market.
