The Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), Asia's non-profit association for business and general aviation (BA/GA) has announced the appointment of Frank De, CEO, Sino Jet to its Board of Governors. The new appointment has been made to strengthen the influence of the association in Greater China.

Frank De, CEO at Sino Jet will take on a leadership role in AsBAA's mainland China Chapter, leveraging over fifteen years' of experience in the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to advance the development of the industry through AsBAA's Advocacy, Representation and Community pillars. Rocky Zhang, Chair of the AsBAA China Committee said, "Frank De has a thorough understanding of CAAC's industry policy and operating rules, making him an extremely valuable and influential addition to the AsBAA Board of Governors. We warmly welcome him to the team and look forward to advancing the momentum of AsBAA's lobbying efforts in Mainland China".

Mr. De is currently based in Hong Kong where he leads Sino Jet's Hong Kong headquarters. Prior to joining Sino Jet as CEO, Mr. De was CEO of the FBO Operations Company of Guangdong Provincial Airport Management Group. During his time in this role, Mr. De established a comprehensive understanding of the operational workflow of business aviation in Greater China. When commenting his appointment to the AsBAA Board of Governors he said "In the last few years, I have observed various entities across the industry come together through AsBAA to drive change collectively for the greater good of the industry. I am honoured to now be invited to play a role in actioning this change on behalf of the industry. There are great challenges and opportunities in Greater China. By working together to advocate the merits of the industry while providing solutions and advice to the authorities, we can realise this change and achieve industry growth".

AsBAA's work in Greater China over the last few years has been defined under its three mission pillars. The mainland China Chapter's activities and priorities include: establishing greater ties with CAAC; developing its education and career programme, AsBAA Discovery; establishing a Pilot's Chapter and running regional meetings and events in which, its members can obtain support and advice on issues affecting the industry.
