Nine Regional Airports to Receive High-Priority Upgrades

The Marshall Government has announced nine priority projects at regional airports across South Australia will share almost $850,000 as part of the latest round of Support Regional Aviation fund.
"The Marshall Government is continuing to invest in regional South Australia, particularly when it comes to productive infrastructure," said Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government Stephan Knoll.
"The Liberals are delivering a $315 million roads and infrastructure fund, key regional projects like the Port Wakefield upgrade and Joy Baluch Bridge, as well as regional growth and job opportunities through the $150 million Regional Growth Fund.
"This fund aims to improve the regional airport network to conform to regulatory requirements, accommodate changing airline fleets, support the growth of regional aviation markets, and deliver regional economic and social benefits through improved air services.
"Successful projects include new taxiway, apron and hanger facilities, upgrades and repairs to runways and taxiways, improved lighting and fencing, amongst other improvements."
