Dragonair CEO Stanley Hui officiated at the opening of the airline's newly designed Ticketing and Reservations Office in Shanghai on July 7. Following four months of work, the office's customer service area has been expanded and redesigned in line with the style of Dragonair's new cabin interiors, conveying a warm and welcoming environment. The back-office area has also undergone restyling.

At 9PM, on 10th July, had just take-off from Beijing Capital Int'l Airport, the aircraft (Rego: B-2856) that operated flight CA1365 heading for Wuhan landed at the Beijing Capital Int'l Airport again. It's understood that, this flight departed and then met a sudden incident while in the sky, the left airfoil was on fire and white smoke appeared, which made the aircraft circle in the air then landed at Beijing Capital Int'l Airport.
- Passengers Up 26.73% for Ningxia Airports[Jul. 11, 2006]
On 9th July, the reporter learned from Ningxia Airport Group Ltd., the passenger number reached 438,000 in the first-half 2006, up 26.73% compared to the same period of last year; cargo and mails reached 6,125 tonnes, up 20.85% compared to the same period of last year.
- Judge Sends VarigLog Bid to Creditors[Jul. 12, 2006]
Brazilian freight and logistics company VarigLog, a former subsidiary of its namesake airline, boosted its bid for the bankrupt carrier after a Rio de Janeiro bankruptcy court judge reversed his decision last week to present the approximately $500 million bid to creditors, who may be better off if Varig is liquidated, Bloomberg News reported. The judge will ask creditors to review the higher offer at a July 17 meeting. If it is approved, VarigLog could win the carrier's operating assets at an auction scheduled for the following day.

55-year-old Billy T. Severence of Memphis, a former employee of the Federal Aviation Administration, was convicted in federal court of failure to file income tax returns and income tax evasion.
