SF Airlines has become China's largest cargo airline and created a global air cargo service network with 65 destinations, said the airline Tuesday.

A new direct air route opened on Friday, linking Southwest China's Chongqing municipality with Budapest, capital of Hungary.

A direct flight between Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, and Osaka, Japan, began operating on Sunday, with the passenger load factor reaching 90 percent, according to the carrier 9Air.

Civil aviation authorities on the mainland and Taiwan agreed to add extra flights across the Taiwan Straits for Spring Festival in January and February to meet the demands of Taiwan residents on the mainland to return home during the holiday, the Civil Aviation Administration of China said on Tuesday.

Recently, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) officially released "Application and Implementation Roadmap of Beidou Navigation Satellite System for Civil Aviation in China". In the Roadmap, it is said that the authority will give great impetus to the application of Beidou system. By the end of 2035, a dual frequency multi-constellation GNSS technological application system with Beidou System as its core will come on the scene. Compatible and operable with GPS and other system, the GNSS system will realize the application of a fully-covered and fungible Beidou System in Civil Aviation step by step.

China is expected to have 723 civil cargo aircraft by 2038, a nearly 3.5-fold upsurge from 2018, according to a report by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China.
