- Embraer Certifies and Delivers First Phenom 300E, New Model of Most-Delivered Light Business Jet for Past 6 Years[Mar. 29, 2018]
Embraer has delivered the first new Phenom 300E business jet, having received its type certificate in the first quarter from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC -- AgĂȘncia Nacional de Aviação Civil). The new light jet model was launched--and debuted--at the 2017 National Business Aviation Association's Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), in October 2017. The new aircraft is designated "E" for "Enhanced" in reference to its entirely redesigned cabin and the addition of the industry-leading nice® HD CMS/IFE (Cabin Management System/InFlight Entertainment) by Lufthansa Technik. The Phenom 300, the new model's successful predecessor, has been the best-selling and most delivered light business jet for the last six years.

Hongkong Jet has today announced the upgrade and expansion of its HKAR-145 maintenance capabilities to include approval to certify the Gulfstream G550 to 144MOS / 12C level. The G550 aircraft type first entered into service in around 2003-4 and as aircraft age, the checks required to keep them flying become more in-depth and complex, under the new approval upgrade, the entire Greater China fleet of 40 G550's are now covered under the company's Hong Kong 145 and Joint Maintenance Management (JMM) approvals.
- H135 Receives FAA Certification for Helionix Avionics Suite[Feb. 28, 2018]
Airbus Helicopters' light-twin helicopter H135 has received the type certificate by the Federal Aviation Administration for its new Helionix cockpit. The avionics system designed by Airbus Helicopters offers operators increased mission flexibility and safety. Helionix is a family concept with standardised features and is available on the H175, H145 and soon on the H160. The first US customer for the H135 with Helionix was STAT Medevac, who received three helicopters of this type earlier this month.

UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. , announced today that it has been selected by Dassault Aviation to provide an advanced nacelle system for its new Falcon 6X. Under terms of the agreement, UTC Aerospace Systems will design an integrated power plant solution including an inlet, fan cowls, thrust reverser and an engine build-up (EBU) system leveraging years of proprietary technology and industry leading manufacturing expertise. Dassault Aviation has chosen the Pratt&Whitney PurePower PW812D engine to power the new airplane.
