Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates and the largest international cargo airline, has signed an MoU with Cainiao Smart Logistics Network Ltd. ("Cainiao"), the logistics arm of the Alibaba Group, to jointly facilitate the delivery of cross-border parcels as Cainiao looks to expand its global logistics infrastructure with Dubai as a hub.

The South American cargo airline LATAM Cargo, the cargo division of the Chilean-Brazilian LATAM Airlines Group, has been welcomed as new member to the Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG), which represents the interests of around 100 national and international airlines. As largest airline in Latin America, LATAM Cargo operates a network of over 140 destinations in 29 countries, with alone ten destinations purely dedicated to cargo. The annual transport volume amounts to approximately one million tons of air freight.

Shark fins from endangered species including the giant, placid whale shark were found in a Singapore Airlines shipment to Hong Kong in May, highlighting the widespread challenges the Chinese territory faces in regulating the trade.
- Air Freight Growth Recovers Slightly in April, Up 4.1%[May 30, 2018]
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), rose 4.1% in April 2018, compared to the same period the year before. This was up from the 1.8% growth in annual demand recorded in March 2018.

These children-used pharmaceuticals are highly temperature-sensitive. During the whole transportation process, the temperature must be strictly controlled within 2-8 degrees Celsius. To guarantee the service quality, the headquarter of China Southern Cargo cooperates closely with the Amsterdam office to work out the loading and unloading plans in advance and that leads to the successful transportation of these pharmaceuticals.
