UPS could cancel the remaining A380F order for 10 aircraft according to news reports. The express operator has refuted cancellation rumours however, saying that it is still in negotiations with Airbus. The decision would leave Airbus without a single order for the super jumbo, despite its own projections of a long-term market demand for 400 A380 freighters.

- FedEx Donates 727 Cargo Aircraft[Jan. 19, 2007]
Federal Express has donated a Boeing 727-100 freighter to the aviation programme at Southern Arkansas University-Tech in Camden. The programme trains students to repair aircraft, and the donation gives it its first jet aircraft.
- Cargolux Co-funds Freighter Leasing[Jan. 22, 2007]
Cargolux has announced the funding of aircraft joint venture company Freighter Leasing. It has established this company with Deucalion Limited, HSH Nordbank and KfW IPEX-Bank.
- BAWC Expands Short-haul Freighter Programme[Jan. 22, 2007]
BA World Cargo (BAWC) has increased its short-haul freighter services by 40 per cent. The multi-million pound investment "clearly demonstrates the BA board's commitment to the air cargo industry", said the airline in a statement.
- Airbus A330-200 Freighter Receives Industrial Go-ahead[Jan. 17, 2007]
Airbus was given the go-ahead from the Board of Directors of its parent company EADS for the industrial launch of its wide-body A330-200 Freighter aircraft, for which it has already received 26 commitments from two customers.
- India's Flyington Freighters Orders Six Airbus A330-200 Freighters[Jan. 16, 2007]
Flyington Freighters Ltd, based in Hyderabad, India, have signed for six A330-200F aircraft, the newest freighter from Airbus and the newest member of the highly successful A330/A340 Family. Flyington Freighters Ltd is the first cargo airline to order the A330-200F, and the first aircraft will join the fleet in the second half of 2009.
- Intrepid Leasing Commits to 20 A330 Freighters[Jan. 15, 2007]
Following the authorization to offer the A330 Freighter last summer, Airbus has secured a commitment for the newest member of the A330/A340 Family - the A330-200F. U. S.-based Intrepid Aviation Group has signed a Letter of Intent for the purchase of 20 A330-200Fs, the newest freighter to join the Airbus fleet. First delivery to Intrepid is expected in early 2010.
- Guggenheim Aviation Partners Orders Six A330-200F[Jan. 18, 2007]
Following the authorization to offer the A330 Freighter last summer, Guggenheim Aviation Partners, LLC (GAP), the US-based aviation investment firm, acting on behalf of one of its investment funds, is the first customer to sign a contract for the A330-200F, the newest member of the A330/A340 family. With this order for six aircraft, converting a Letter of Intent signed last October, GAP becomes a launch customer for the new Airbus freighter with deliveries expected to commence in early 2010.
- HK: DHL to Lift Handling Capacity 20% with New Facility[Jan. 19, 2007]
DHL has announced a US$35 million (HK$273 million) investment program in its Hong Kong facilities that will increase DHL Express ground handling capacity by about 20 percent.
