On October 4, Ameco Beijing's new state-of-the-art Boeing 747 Painting and Overhaul Hangar was officially put into operation when the hangar opened its gates for the first aircraft, a Jade Cargo International Airlines B747-400ERF scheduled for C-check. With this new facility in operation, Ameco Beijing is well prepared for the upcoming heavy maintenance winter peak season.

- Delta TechOps Utilizes New Technology to Extend Life of Aircraft Components[Apr. 22, 2009]
On April 22, Delta Air Lines' maintenance division, Delta TechOps, announced that it has become the exclusive commercial aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider of a new state-of-the-art technology known as Low Plasticity Burnishing (LPB). LPB, developed by Cincinnati-based Lambda Technologies, can be used to extend the life of commercial aircraft components, such as landing gear, propeller hubs and turbine engine blades.
- Delta TechOps to Perform Engine Maintenance on Ethiopian Airlines Fleet[Sep. 22, 2009]
On Sep. 22, Delta Air Lines' maintenance division, Delta TechOps, announced that it has inked an open-ended agreement to extend current maintenance support for Ethiopian Airlines to include total engine repair and overhaul of Ethiopian's Pratt & Whitney 2040 engines. Delta TechOps began performing select maintenance support on Ethiopian's fleet in 2005.

The maintenance division of Delta Air Lines Inc. announced on September 18 that it has inked a one-year contract with LAN Airlines to install fuel-conserving winglets and perform airframe maintenance services on a portion of the Latin American carrier's fleet.

On September 16, Cathay Pacific Airways announced that it has agreed to sell 20,700,958 shares, representing 12.45% of its shareholding, in Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO) at HK$91.83 per share to Swire Pacific - a transaction valued at approximately HK$1,901 million.

On September 8, 2009, Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic), a world leader in state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment and communication (IFEC) systems, announced at a signing ceremony that Panasonic has chosen to sign an agreement with the SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC), a major provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services in Asia-Pacific, for Maintenance Services (MS). Panasonic is providing IFEC maintenance services for the entire Singapore Airlines (SIA) fleet over 10 years.
