As part of it's large jet program, the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC), set up an aircraft service company on Oct. 7.
- Spirit AeroSystems Opens European Repair Station in Prestwick, Scotland[Sep. 23, 2008]
On Sep. 23, Spirit AeroSystems Inc. formally opened its new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) repair station in Europe. The Spirit facility, based at the Spirit AeroSystems European headquarters in Prestwick, Scotland, will support customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

On Sep. 25, 2008, Boeing announced at MRO Europe that AeroLogic has adopted the airplane manufacturer's Web-based solutions, Maintenance Performance Toolbox and Airplane Health Management, as foundations for the carrier's 777 Freighter maintenance documentation platform when deliveries begin in 2009.
- Air New Zealand Interior Design Company to Open Dedicated BBJ Centre[Sep. 25, 2008]
Air New Zealand's recently formed standalone aircraft interior design company Altitude Aerospace Interiors (AAI) plans to open a dedicated Boeing Business Jet refurbishment centre in Christchurch in conjunction with the airline's Technical Operations division by the end of the year. The new facility will provide end-to-end refurbishment and completion services for BBJs.

An Air China's Airbus A330, with a beautifully designed fuselage, was put into operation after Ameco Beijing's 12-day extraordinary task of precise painting. Another 10 more aircraft of various types, namely Boeing 777, Boeing 737-800, Airbus A330 and Airbus A321, from Air China will continue to be painted in unique liveries by Ameco Beijing until next February.
