- FAI Technik Completes ADS-B and FANS Installations on Bombardier Challenger 604s[Dec. 09, 2019]
FAI Technik GmbH, the expanding German MRO supplier and member of the FAI Aviation Group, has completed two FANS installations on two Bombardier Challenger 604s (D-AFAA and D-AFAG) during October/November. It has also just commenced a further installation, scheduled for completion by mid-December 2019.

- Airbus Begins Deliveries of First A350s with Touchscreen Cockpit Displays Option to Customers[Dec. 19, 2019]
Airbus has commenced deliveries to airlines of the first A350s equipped with pioneering new touchscreen cockpit displays. Specially developed for the A350 together with Thales, they will confer enhanced operational efficiencies, greater crew interaction, cockpit symmetry and smoother information management. On 18th December China Eastern Airlines took delivery in Toulouse of the first A350 equipped with the new devices. To date, around 20 airlines have selected the option for their new A350s.
- EASA Certifies Safran Aneto-1K in Leonardo AW189K[Dec. 19, 2019]
Safran Helicopter Engines has received EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Type Certification for its Aneto-1K engine, as fitted to the Leonardo AW189K. Intended for super-medium and heavy helicopters, the Aneto family produces between 2,500 and 3,000 shp. The 1K is rated at 2,500 shp and its first flight in the AW189K took place in March 2017.
