Passenger takes diamonds to catch plane

A foreign passenger at the Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou asked airport security staff to take all diamonds off his cigar knife so that he could take the diamonds with him and board the plane on time.
At nine o'clock on Wednesday, airport security staff at the Baiyun Airport found a cigar knife in the luggage of a passenger from the Middle East, who was about to leave Guangzhou for Singapore. The cigar knife was delicately made and decorated with lots of diamonds on both sides. As the passenger was already running the boarding procedure, there was not enough time left for him to consign his cigar knife for shipment, and the passenger refused to leave his knife in the airport either, since he would not return to Guangzhou any more.
At this time, the passenger asked the security staff to take the diamonds off his knife. At first, staff workers in the airport felt it difficult to do so, as they feared it might damage the diamonds. However, when they took a closer look, they realized that the diamonds were only inlaid on two blades, and could be taken off easily along with the blades, which were only fixed on the knife with some screws. If the passenger could find another two blades and a cigar knife, he could have another diamond-inlaid cigar knife. At this time, the security staff workers quickly found a screwdriver and handed it over to the passenger. In a short time, the passenger managed to take all the diamonds off and took the last minute to board the plane on time.
