China Southern in Horticultural Drive

China Southern Airlines is showing off its aviation services during the six-month long Shenyang International Horticultural Exposition in Dongguan, Guangzhou.
China Southern Airlines is the official airline for the exposition which is scheduled to be held in Shenyang Qipanshan International Scenery and Tourism Development Zone from May 1 through October 31, 2006. The International Horticultural Exposition 2006 Shenyang, together with the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games, the Expo 2010 Shanghai China and the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010, are among the major events in China during the opening part of this century.
This Shenyang Exposition has four major milestones in 2006: It is the largest same type of exposition thus far in'06; the first same type of exposition held in the forests of Northern China; the first time such an exhibition has been sponsored by one Chinese city and one of the most environment-friendly expositions in the world... taking advantage of solar, geothermal and wind energy.
Currently, China Southern Airlines is operating 101 Guangzhou-outbound routes with 168 daily outbound flights; three daily flights between Guangzhou and Shenyang using Airbus A319 and MD90; two daily flights between Shenzhen and Shenyang with MD90 aircraft. With the coming of this grand exposition, China Southern Airlines plans to put in additional capacity on its routes between Shenyang and Guangzhou as well as Shenzhen and other major metropolitan Chinese cities to meet market demands
During the six-month-long Shenyang International Horticultural Exposition, China Southern Airlines will present a series of unique air products as well as highlighting its convenient International connection service via its Shenyang hub to South Korea, Japan and other business and leisure destinations. The airline is also offering passengers a free overnight hotel stay for those passengers connecting onto a China Southern flight in Shenyang.
