Air France KLM traffic up 11.9% in DEC

Air France KLM passenger traffic, as measured by revenue per passenger kilometre, rose 11.9 percent in December, the Franco-Dutch airline group said on Monday.
The load factor, a measure of how well the airline is filling its seats, rose 2.1 percentage points to 79.8 percent.
The group said it had carried 5.6 million passengers during the month, up 8 percent, led by 16.3 percent growth in traffic on its Americas network. Passenger capacity rose 9 percent.
Activity on Asian routes rose 15.1 percent with the European network posting a 7.1 percent increase in passenger traffic compared to the same month of 2004.
Cargo traffic rose 7.5 percent on 9 percent higher capacity for a load factor of 70.4 percent, an airline statement said.
