EVA Invests in Shanghai Airlines' Cargo Unit

On 13th June 2006, EVA Airways Corporation released the news to confirm that, it would partner with mainland Shanghai Airlines Co., Ltd. formally, invest "Shanghai International Cargo Airways", join the competition for Mainland's air cargo market, total investment was US$3.88 million. In the future, EVA Airways Corporation will own 25% holdings. EVA Airways Corporation indicated that, official documents had been sent to Taiwan's "Ministry of Economic Affairs's Investment Approval Council" formally.
According to Taiwan "bcc.com.tw", EVA Airways Corporation released the important news in the morning of 13th June, carrier's board of directors formally approved to invest in "Shanghai International Cargo Airways Ltd.", and submitted the application to the "Approval Council" the same morning, the investment amount was US$3.88 million, EVA will hold 25% stock while Shanghai Airlines Co., Ltd. will have 55% holdings.
