May: Passenger Number Up 7.7% for Dragonair

The passenger numbers and freight volume registered year-on-year increases in May for Hong Kong-based Dragonair, rising 7.7% and 5.2% respectively.
The passenger number in May was 450,509, compared with 418,435 passengers one year earlier. The passenger number was 6.4% lower compared with April's passenger number record this year.
Stanley Hui, CEO of Dragonair shared that, "We will continue to face the heavy cost pressures brought by high oil price. In order to lessen the affect of high oil price, we have obtained the approval and could adjust to increase the passenger fuel surcharge from 1st June. At the same time we continue to use and look for ways to help us conserve fuel in our daily operations."
