CAAC Forecasts 31Mln Passengers in Summer

The annual summer season will start soon, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) forecasts the airline passenger number will reach 31 in this summer, an increase of 18% compared to the same period last year, according to a notice released by CAAC.
Aiming at dealing with the recent circumstance of more emergency air transportation tasks, CAAC demands that all civil aviation organisation should put national benefits and interests first, guarantee all emergency air transportation tasks to be accommodated in highly responsible spirit.
The notice also demands that all civil aviation organisations should pay high attention to ordinary air services and dealings in an event of flight delay, make specific, practical corresponding measures aimed at frequent storm season, try their best to shorten long time delays, carefully ensure high standard accommodation of reasonable passenger requests and necessary services in case of flight delay from every aspect and every step.
Additionally, the notice requires that the Civil Aviation Management Bureau of Northern China, Eastern China, South Central China, Southwest China to focus on the perfection and operations of flight delay procedures of four hub airports in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu respectively, the Local Civil Aviation Management Bureaus must ensure flight operations in good order of the hub airports concerned, reduce the impact of flight delays over large areas at the hub airports in order to the minimum the affects toward other airports.
