GTMC Training Course Sponsoring Airline

United Airlines has renewed its sponsorship of the Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC) training course for travel management staff in supervisory positions.
The move gives the airline an automatic associate membership to the Guild.
The membership gives United exclusive links with the GTMC and its members, a specific listing on the GTMC's website, with a link to its homepage and attendance at major Guild events and functions such as the AGM and the annual conference.
The annual training course is made up of a self-study programme with a half-day induction, two further training days and a one-day revision course. Students sit a final exam in June 2007.
The course time has been reduced from nine months to six months, without reducing content, following a survey which highlighted a desire for the courses to be condensed into a shorter time period.
